Post your thoughts on Red Dwarf IX Back To Earth Parts 1 - 3 in this thread.
Mine -
Red Dwarf's final episodes were decent but could have gone better. This was more of a re do of the Series V episode Back To Reality. It was good to see the guys back together for 3 more but they could have done a better job with the episodes.
Interesting bit - Lister meeting his real world counter part. Also a car made up like Star Bug

I hated the storyline itself. As soon as I realised they were coming to earth to meet their real selves I just hated it.
Overall I do think it had a RD feel, and was finely polished. Not as many LOL moments as some other series, but that does not mean that I wouldn't be happy with a full series. I liked were series 8 had taken it though and it does feel a backwards step with the loss of the characters. What next, a 3rd Kochanski?

Just rewatched the 3 episodes and i have to say i enjoyed it alot more than when i watched them the first 1 or 2 times. Storyline is still a bit dodgy though but the comedy is certainly still going strong.

BtE is fantastic Red Dwarf...not the best Red Dwarf, but far from the worse...it has to be viewed as a long single episode though. It didn't work as a three parter and, no matter how many times you view it, never will!
